President John Mahama is expected to inaugurate the Kwame Nkrumah Circle Interchange for public use today.

The Brazilian and government of Ghana jointly financed the interchange which started in 2013 and is estimated to have cost GH₵320.2m.

The road network which carries about 84,000 vehicles a day is expected to make travel to Accra’s Central Business District much easier.

Drivers of big trucks are meanwhile urged to observe the height restrictions when using the Interchange, while traders are urged to transact business at only authorised locations.

Aside the three-tier interchange, other roads around the Kwame Nkrumah Circle will be improved including rehabilitation of the Ring Road East to the Feo Oyo Intersection on the Ring Road West.
