The MP for Pru East, Dr Kwabena Donkor says the National Youth Organiser of the NPP, Sammy Awuku, does not qualify to be appointed board Chair of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA).
According to Dr Donkor, Sammy Awuku’s appointment is in contravention of the YEA Act, act 887 which among other things, stipulates that the appointee should be a person in recognised standing and experience in administration and human resource development or training.
Sammy Awuku was on Friday, 15 September 2017 sworn in as the Chair of the YEA together with eight others to form the Board of the agency.
Commenting on the new role given Sammy Awuku, Mr Donkor said the new YEA chair has no experience and do not fall within the requirement of the agency’s Acts.Â
“We can say Sammy Awuku is a person of recognised standing and experienced in administration and human resource development. I believe not.â€
Kwabena Donkor hinted he will petition President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to revoke his appointment.
