Ghana’s Supreme Court is scheduled to deliver a ruling on a demand made on the Electoral Commission that special voting results must be declared on the same day the vote is cast.
A New Patriotic Party (NPP) Council of Elders member, Dr. Amoako Tufuor and two others are praying the apex court to compel the EC to declare the Special Voting results immediately after voting and depart from the custom of keeping the results till the general elections are held.
Special Voting is reserved for security operatives and persons working on Election Day like journalists and other media people who are allowed to cast their ballot earlier than the general public.
