Incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has been retained the party's parliamentary candidate for the 2016 general elections.
She polled 554 against challenger, Roni Kwesi Nicole's 317 votes with five ballots being rejected.
Ahead of the primary, the constituency Chairman, TheophilusTettey, who had stepped down from the contest at the day before, resigned along with 12 other executives resigned from the party blaming the NPP's  National Executive Council for adding two new names to the electoral register.
