At Ningo-Prampam, President Mahama prayed the electorates to vote for parliamentary aspirant, Sam George Nettey adding “my bother E.T is very important in the NDC but time comes to move on. E.T will not find it difficult to have something to do in my government.”

President Mahama running on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ticket called on the chiefs and people to vote and retain the NDC in power.

In a development not many saw coming, a political neophyte, Sam George Nettey alias Sam Dzata toppled the veteran MP in the Ningo-Prampram constituency party primaries. He represents the party as its parliamentary aspirant.

Prior to the vote, the campaign of both candidates was rancorous and got very personal. Since the election results got announced, the two party men have yet to fully reconcile despite the Sam George’s insistence that he has no problem with the elder who he relates to in some capacity.

When Dzata recently launched his campaign, E.T was not in attendance but the excuse was that he had another engagement which took him away.

It remains to be seen if Sam George, the man who works at the presidency could woo over E.T himself and his aggrieved sympathisers to secure victory for the party or allow the frosty relationship to persist which could lead to an NPP victory whose parliamentary aspirant also doubles as cousin to Sam George.
