The Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has described the Vice Presidential Candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP)  as not serious for expecting him to answer some 170 questions he [Bawumia] raised about Ghana's economy.

Dr Bawumia at a lecture in September at the National Theatre had challenged the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to answer some critical questions, totalling 170 in all, over the nation's economy.

The Vice President, being the head of the government's economic management team and a former goVernon of the Bank of Ghana had widely been expected to answer these questions.

He, at the launch of the NDC's manifesto in Sunyani in October hinted that he was going answer Dr Bawumia's questions one at a time as he went on the campaign trail.

However, none of the questions has been answered so far with the NPP running mate constantly asserting that the NDC  did not have economically astute people hence their inability to answer his questions.

But speaking at the NDC's final rally at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, Mr Amissah-Arthur brushed aside Dr Bawumia's assertion.

"Anybody who asks 170 questions; you know the person is not serious", he stated.
