The Sports Writers Association of Ghana, SWAG has launched its 43rd awards ceremony at the media centre at the MTN headquarters.

The Awards ceremony is slated for April 28, 2018, with the venue yet to be communicated.

The launch saw several football administrators and dignitaries grace the occasion.

President of SWAG, Kwabena Yeboah, speaking at the event stated that this year’s award ceremony will honour our heroes and heroines from 49 nominees, including individuals and institutions in 21 categories drawn from 18 sporting disciplines.

Kwabena Yeboah also hinted that the Association is planning on inviting former football star and current Liberia President George Weah as the Special Guest Honor for the event.

Nominees for various award categories were announced at the event.

The Sports Personality of the Year was not revealed during the announcement and according to the President, it will be announced on the night of the event.
