Ghana has reached a partnership agreement with US-based firm Transatlantic BDR to construct a 60,000 capacity stadium in Tema - the biggest in the country's history.
Â
The deal facilitated by the Tema Metropolitan Assembly and the US-based investor group has the support of the Ghana government.
The ground-breaking project is an overall regional economic development plan designed to grow international tourism.
Aside the 60,000 edifice, the facility will come along with commercial retail and residential mixed-use accommodations targeting cross-border corporations and regional companies.
