After two games and four months in charge of the Algerian national team, Coach, Milovan Rajevac has been axed.

Algeria under Rajevac beat Lesotho 6-0 but a 1-1 drawn game in with Cameroon on Sunday in the final phase of African 2018 World Cup qualifiers was enough for players and management to send him packing.

Players in particular were unenthused by his coaching ways demanding his sack.

In the meantime, the Algerian FA has tasked assistant coaches Nabil Neghiz and Yazid Mansouri to hold the fort till a replacement is found for 62-year-old Rajevac.

Rajevac became Ghana manager in August 2008 but quit the Ghana job on September 8, 2010 in bizarre circumstance taking up a position with Saudi Arabian team Al-Ahli a day later.
