Ghana’s Black Maidens have qualified to the Quarter Finals stage of the ongoing U-17 FIFA Women’s World Cup tournament in Amman, Jordan.
The Maidens beat Paraguay to ensure advancement in a thrilling game which saw captain, Sandra Owusu Ansah execute a non-stop volley for the sole goal of the game.
Coach, Evans Adotey stated his girls had a poor start where they were beaten 5-0 by Japan in their first game but rebounded to secure 6 points in their two last games.
“I psyched my girls that they must pick themselves up and ensure they win their other matches to advance,†he declared.
