Felix Annan is convinced Asante Kotoko have what it takes to mount a genuine bid for the knockout stage of the Confederation Cup despite placing in 'tricky' Group C.

The Porcupines hope of firing themselves out of the group lies with the challenge against Sudan's Al Hilal, and Zambian giants Zesco United and Nkana FC.

Felix Annan, who guarded the posts throughout the elimination round, believes the Porcupines can sail through with hard work and determination.

"It is a tricky group because the other clubs have experience and good players," says the dependable shot-stopper. "But we will prepare adequately to secure qualification from the group stage."

"The journey has been tough, but we are here because we worked hard and were determined. We will approach the group stage with an even bigger posture," continues the Black Stars goalkeeper.

Asante Kotoko eliminated Kenya's Kariobangi Sharks and Cameroon's Coton Sport to make the group stage, and Annan reckons the side will draw lessons and experience from the games to help their course in the group stage.

"We have to improve on the mistakes we did in our previous games so we can make it out of the group."

"We will not underestimate any of them and we believe we can qualify no matter the level of the challenge," says Annan.
