The Ashanti Regional Inter-Schools Soccer Competition has suffered a change in date in the round of 32 matches as the authorities of Schools and Colleges Sports Federation of the Ashanti Region take proactive measures to avoid the competition clashing with the Final Funeral rites of the late Asantehemaa.

The Federation has thus moved the dates of the commencement of the round of 32 matches from the initial 27th November to Wednesday the 22nd November through to 30th November at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The new date has been communicated to all participating schools for the necessary corrections on their calendar.

The qualifiers, however, will still be played from Monday the 13th to the 16th of November after which the Federation will sit on protest cases from Friday 17th November through to Tuesday 21st November to make way for the round of 32 on Wednesday the 22nd of November, 2017.

Six matches will played daily at the Baba Yara Stadium enroute to the final which is slated for Thursday the 30th of November, 2017 at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The change in date has been necessitated by the announcement from Manhyia that the late Asantehemaa’s final funeral rites will be observed from the 1st to the 11th of December, 2017.
