Avram Grant names two debutants in 23-man squad against Egypt

Two players, Alhassan Wakaso based, Portugal-based defender and Andy Yiadom of English Championship side Barnsley have been handed their first call up as coach Avram Grant named a 23-man squad to face Egypt.

Ghana would play Egypt in 2018 World Cup qualifier in Alexandria scheduled for November 13.

Yiadom's invitation is however, pending a FIFA clearance as he has already played for England C in an international friendly.

Andre Ayew, also makes a return to the squad as they play the crucial game against the Pharoahs.

Following captain Asamoah Gyan’s injury, Ayew is expected to lead the team to victory in order to keep their world cup hopes alive.

Meanwhile, Kwadwo Asamoah have also not been named in the squad though he has started training with Juventus.
