Ghanaian FIFA referee Juliet Appiah has been named as one of the centre referees for the 2018 CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations (AWCON) to be held in Ghana next month.

Last month, she was among selected referees who underwent the preparatory course organized bt CAF in Winneba ahead of the AWCON.

In February 2018, Appiah became the first person in the Ghana Police Service to be awarded a FIFA refereeing license.

She was the first female referee to officiate in the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League where she handled the game between Dreams FC and Inter Allies in Dawu.
