Ghana Premier League side Bechem United have rendered an apology to Asante Kotoko after their player Samuel Osei Kuffour assaulted the Porcupines Frank Mbella.

Bechem United in a statement condemned the unsporting behavior of their defender asked the public to forgive Kuffour.

According to the club, despite Kuffour being one of the most disciplined players in camp, his action on matchday 19 of the Ghana Premier League against Kotoko will not be swept under the carpet.

Meanwhile, Samuel Osei Kuffour has admitted he was wrong to stamp Cameroonian striker Etuoga Mbella Frank Thierry in the goalless draw against Asante Kotoko at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in Bechem on Tuesday.

Kuffour intentionally stamped on Etouga on the 22nd minute after clearing the ball to safety but he was very fortunate that referee Kennedy Padi and his assistants did not see the incident.

However, after the game, he went to Etouga with some colleagues to make peace with him before heading towards his dressing room.

Kuffour joined Bechem United at the start of the season from lower division side Young Vipers on a three-year deal.
