Black Maidens captain Abdulai Mukarama says she is proud of her record at the ongoing FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Uruguay despite Ghana's exit.

The Black Maidens were one of the best teams at the World Cup, winning all three games in their group and were tipped as favourite to win the ultimate

But Ghana were booted out of the competition after a 4-2 penalty defeat to Mexico in the quarter finals.

Her seven goals makes her the leading goal scorer currently at the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Uruguay, as well as Ghana's all time top scorer at the tournament beating Jane Anyieyam who represented Ghana at the U-17 World Cup in 2012 and 2014 respectively with six goals.

The Northern Ladies striker took to her twitter handle expressing her joy for leading the Black Maidens to the quarter-final stage of the competition and her goal-scoring prowess at the mundial.
