Black Queens beat Burkina 4-1 to qualify for semi-final in WAFU tournament

The Black Queens have qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing WAFU women's tournament in Ivory Coast after beating Burkina Faso 4-1 in their last group game.

The Queens have responded brilliantly in their last two games after losing their first game 1-0 to Ivory Coast.

Striker Portia Boakye grabbed a brace with others from Grace Asantewaa and Priscilla Okyere.

The opening goal was registered in the 21st minute when Boakye surged forward before slotting in.

After 39 minutes, Asantewaa was on cue to make it 2-0 after connecting home a rebound.

By the 55th minute, Okyere scored a beauty with a thunderbolt long range before Burkina Faso pulled one back.

Boakye's personal second was in the 75th minute with a follow up after Asantewaa's initial effort was saved.
