Black Queens face Nigeria after hammering Kenya 3-1

The Black Queens of Ghana came from behind to beat Kenya 3-1 in their 2016 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday in Cameroon.

The Kenyan’s scored first through Esse Akida in the first half but the Queens came back strongly in the second half to get goals from Samira Suleman, Elizabeth Addo and Portia Boakye.

Ghana would now face Nigeria in their second game on Wednesday in a game that promises to be keenly contested.

Nigeria are on top of the table with a higher goal margin after humiliating Mali 6-0 in their game.

Sunday's game however, marked Kenya's first ever appearance at the championship and also managed to get a goal in the 20th minute before Ghana responded.

Ghana, who are making their ninth appearance at the competition and would be hoping to defeat Nigeria to secure a place at the next stage of the competition.
