Black Queens came from behind to hold Harambee Starlets of Kenya 1-1 in a friendly played at the Kasarani Stadium on Wednesday 7th November.

Mercy Achieng gave Starlets the lead at the quarter hour mark, tapping in a low cross from Mwanahalima Adam to complete a swift counter-attack.

Starlets held on to the lead until the 77th minute when Linda Eshun equalized for the visitors by sending in a low shot past Harambee Starlets custodian Annette Kundu.

Both teams were using the friendly to prepare for the 2018 AWCON that kicks off in Ghana on Sunday 18th November.

On Saturday, the Black Queens lost 3-2 to the She-Polopolo of Zambia in another build-up match.

The team returns home to continue with their preparations and are planned to play another AWCON finalists South Africa in a final friendly.
