The national U-17 team the Black Starlets have been handed a tricky group in next year’s African Youth Championship to be held in Madagascar.

The Starlets are in Group A with host Madagascar, Cameroon and Guinea for the competition slated for April 2 to April 16,2017.

The Starlets defeated Ivory Coast 3-1 on aggregate to secure a place in the competition and are hoping to make a tick when the competition begins next year.

Group B would feature, defending champions Mali who would be hoping to defend their title but must go through the group with the likes of Congo, Angola and Niger as obstacles.

The semi-finalists of the competition would qualify for FIFA U-17 World Cup to be played in India next year.
