Fernand Sadou, President of Coton Sport de Garoua has attributed their defeat against Asante Kotoko to poor officiating in yesterdays' game.

The Porcupine Warriors completed a double over the Cameroonian side to advance to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup. They will receive $275000 for reaching the group stage.

Cape Verdean referee Fabricio Duarte was at the center of action at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.  Fabricio Duarte awarded a penalty to Kotoko in the regulation time of the first half. Skipper Amos converted to give his side the lead, Maxwell added the second goal before a consolation goal courtesy Oumar Sali for Coton Sport.

According to Fernand Sadou, the Reds were aided by referee Fabricio Duarte to secure victory on the day and they will be sending a complaint to CAF about him.

"The referee was not good yesterday. He gave us a lot of yellow cards. The penalty he awarded to Kotoko was not a penalty," Mr. Sadou stated on Happy FM.

"All the goals Kotoko scored yesterday weren’t good goals. We are going to make an official complaint about officiating but we wish Kotoko all the best and good luck."

Asante Kotoko has been placed in group C of the CAF Confederation Cup with Nkana, Al Hilal, Zesco.
