Amed Simba Toure has reacted to his former club Asante Kotoko's CAF Confederation Cup final playoff clash against Ivorian side, FC San Pedro.

The Reds are set to play the Ivorian side following the CAF Confederation Cup playoffs draw conducted on Wednesday, October 10 in Cairo.

The Porcupines will be hosting the Ivorian side in the first leg to be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on October 27 while the return leg comes off a week later in Cote d'Ivoire.

Speaking about Wednesday's draw, the AS Vita striker tipped Kotoko to come out on top over the Ivorians but was however quick to point that they have to finish the game in Kumasi to make the second leg a mere formality.

“Yesterday I heard the draw and I was happy because Kotoko have an advantage over San Pedro. They have made lots of changes to their team, most of their players left after last season but now football is not about advantage,” Toure told Kumasi-baseb Fox FM.

“Kotoko have to score more goals in Ghana, at least 3-0, 4-0 will make Kotoko free going into the second leg in Abidjan. Kotoko will have to take more advantage of the first leg at home”

“They’ve [San Pedro] made lots of recruitment this season, they have bought most of the experienced players in the Ivorian league and they are good”

“Kotoko players must know that San Pedro is a team that plays like an academy side, they like to play good football,” he ended.

The Porcupines are playing in the CAF Confederation Cup due to their drop from the Champions League after they were beaten on aggregate 3-2 by Tunisian giants Etoile du Sahel.

They will be seeking to make the Money Zone again after breaking an 11-year jinx last season.
