George Lwandamina, head coach of Zesco United has debunked the rumors that he is spying on Asante Kotoko ahead of his side's clash the Reds in the 2018/19 CAF Confederations Cup.

The Porcupine Warriors will have a job on their hands when they host the Zambian giants in the CAF Confederation Cup match-day two fixture.

The game will take place on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at the Baba Yara Stadium at 4:00 pm local time.

The former Chipolopolo gaffer spoke to Boss FM in Kumasi on Friday morning ahead of the all-important encounter.

He denied spying on Kotoko and emphasized that he has not taken time to watch Asante Kotoko. “Kotoko is not Barcelona or Real Madrid for me to be watching every day?” The Zesco coach said.

“The most important thing is for me to concentrate on my team, train the players very well.” He explained. It is a group game and it will not be good for me to concentrate on only one team.”

Lwandamina elaborated on the strength of his team, ” We have good players, the team spirit is high and individual players have good confidence.”

“We are not afraid of Asante Kotoko and we shall play our best game in order to get the three points”

Zesco United beat local rivals Nkana 2-0 in the first round of matches whereas Asante Kotoko lost by a lone goal to Al Hilal in Sudan.
