Asante Kotoko home invincibility in this season CAF Confederation Cup will come under threat as they square off with Nkana FC in matchday 4 at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The Reds last Sunday, February 24 in Kitwe got whitewashed by the Zambians and they will be seeking to revenge that painful defeat on Sunday's titanic encounter.

Nkana will be hoping to end their away drought as they have not won away in the continental competition since November 28, 2018, when they beat UD Songo of Mozambique 2-1 in a 2018/2019 Total CAF Champions League preliminary round, first leg tie in Beira.

TEAM NEWS

Asante Kotoko

The Ghanaian club captain and dependable defender Amos Frimpong will be missing in action due to an accumulation of cards whilst the Reds will be hoping Richard Senanu will make a quick recovery from his injury suffered against Al Hilal.

New signee Zabo Teguy will be in contention to make Akonnor's squad having trained with the team for the past weeks.

Possible Nkana starting XI:  Annan, Darkwah, sefah, Adams, Ganiyu, Bonsu, Gyamfi, Senanu, Yacouba, Safiu, Baakoh Nkana FC

Nkana FC have to make some adjustments to their defence as they will be missing the services of Richard Ocran and Kenyan international Musa Mohammed on the day.

Ocran was sent off in the first leg win over Kotoko while Mohammed accrued his second yellow card in that match.

Furthermore, both players will now serve two-match bans after earning their second suspensions in this seasons CAF interclub competition and will only return for Nkana's final group match away to Al Hilal on March 17.

Possible Nkana starting XI: Chibwe, Musonda, Ramadhani, Zulu, Otieno, Malambo, Mulenda, Tshimenga , Bwalya, Kampamba, Mbewe. Match Officials

Gabonese referee Mihindou Mbina Gauthier will be the centreman on the day and will be assisted on the lines by Moussounda Montel and Marlaise Ditsoga Boris.

Pierre Ghislain Atcho will be the 4th official while Andy Quamie from Liberia as the Match Commissioner.

MATCH PREVIEW:

Kotoko will be hoping to keep their home record intact having won all their home matches in the competition registering 6 goals and leaking in 3.

Nkana FC will be oozing with confidence as they are looking to continue from where they left off in Kitwe with a brace from Ronald Kampamba enough to send the Zambians to the top of the Group C table with 6points.

The Porcupines have to get a win in Sunday's encounter if they have any ambitions of getting a chance to progress to the last eight in the competition.
