The Ministry of Youth and Sports have stated that contrary to their earlier decision to pay Ghana's Black Stars B winning bonus, they will rather pay qualification bonus.

The initial decision was for players to earn a winning bonus at the end of each leg of the CHAN qualifier but the Sports Ministry has now decided to adopt the qualification bonus policy.

What this means is that every member of the team will receive a huge package at the end of the crucial second leg tie of the qualifier against Burkina Faso if they manage to overturn the result from the first leg.

“Even though the team lost at home in the first game, a qualification bonus will be paid for the two-legged encounter and not just a single match-winning bonus should they win in the return leg on Sunday”, Public Relations Officer for the Sports Ministry Kofi Asare Brako has confirmed.

Ghana lost to the Black Stallions by a lone goal at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and will have to overturn the deficit in Ouagadougou to book a ticket to the CHAN 2020 tournament having missed the last two editions.

Ahead of the return leg coach Maxwell Konadu has sent a word of caution to his opponent that they will be facing a different Black Stars B on Sunday.

"We know it will be a physical encounter but we know them now and they will be panicking because the team they faced in Kumasi is not the one they will meet on Friday."

"We have transformed and they will see that we will play far better than we did in the first leg.

The Black Stars B team is set to depart the leave shores of Ghana for Burkina Faso on Saturday for the crunch match.

The crucial encounter will be played on Sunday, October 20 at the Stade du 4 Août.
