Chief Imam blesses Tagoe ahead of world title bout

Baby Jets Promotions and boxer Emmanuel “Game Boy” Tagoe today paid a courtesy call on the Chief Imam, Dr. Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu ahead of the boxer’s world title bout on Friday, November 25.

Tagoe would be facing David Fernando Saucedo from Argentina in the IBO Lightweight world title bout at the newly opened Bukom Arena in Accra.

The visit was to officially inform and invite the Chief Imam for the bout and also seek for his blessings for the boxer ahead of the challenge.

The Chief Imam prayed for the boxer and asked for victory while encouraging the boxer to work hard and make the nation proud.

He also pledged his support for the boxer and called on his management to continue working hard for the world title.

Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Baby Jets Promotions, Mr. Anim Addo was optimistic that the Imam’s positive words and blessings would guide the boxer to victory.

“Tagoe would certainly make us proud on Friday as he has worked very hard coupled with the blessings from the Imam, he would win the fight,” he stated.

History he said, would be made on Friday and proud to be part while urging all Ghanaians to be at the venue to support the boxer emerge a world champion which has eluded Ghana for almost a decade now.

On his part, Tagoe expressed appreciation to the Imam for his prayers and support and pledged to win the bout.

“With the kind of prayers I received, I believe I have won the title in advance for Ghanaians and ask all to be present to witness the showdown,” he stated.
