Newcastle United winger Christian Atsu is likely to miss Ghana's World Cup qualifier against Egypt on Sunday at the Cape Coast Stadium.
The player missed the stars training on Tuesday as he was only made to do some jogging as the rest of the squad trained.
Ghana FA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie Daara has given further update on the situation regarding the former Chelsea man.
"I am yet to be briefed on the medical report from his club yet. But what is important is that he made the trip down here," he said
"You all read in the UK papers that he club said he suffered an injury. But the fact that Atsu has showed up depicts the commitments and love Atsu has for the country.
The Black Stars will play Egypt at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday November 12 in the last round of matches for the 2018 World Cup.
The Pharaohs have already secured qualification to the tournament.
