Ghanaian defender Daniel Opare has signed a two-year deal with Belgian top-flight side Royal Antwerp on a two-year deal.


He arrives at the at the Ploeg van 't Stad with rich knowledge of the Belgian top-flight having played four seasons for Standard Liege.

The 27-year-old reunites with Antwerp Director Luciano D'Onofrio who signed him for giants Standard Liege in 2010.

Daniel Opare has been without a club since March when Bundesliga side Augsburg terminated his contract for dishonesty and lying.

Opare 27, has failed to live up to expectation after winning the U20 World Cup with Ghana in 2009.

He joined Real Madrid but failed to break into the first team and has since played for five other clubs.

He has 16 caps for the Black Stars of Ghana.
