Enoch Asubonteng says Hearts of Oak's victory over CI Kamsar has increased the team’s confidence even more ahead of their next Champions League fixture against Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco.

The Phobians on September 19 saw off a threat from the Guinean club by defeating them 2-0 to set up a mouth-watering tie with the Moroccan giants.

The Phobians will host the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 15 before going to Casablanca for the second leg.

Speaking ahead of the clash, Asubonteng who is one of the new players recruited to augment the squad for the CAF Champions League and 2021/2022 Ghana Premier league campaign says the team is looking for the game.

He believes with the depth of the squad has they would come out victorious and reach the money zone.

“I think we can draw a lot of confidence from the Kamsar game” said Asubonteng.

“We've got a very strong team which can go on and on. We've got to make sure we prepare right, go in and get ready for the WAC game. That's what's important and everyone's looking forward to it”.

“We're very confident, full of belief with the quality of players we have. We will go into every game, no matter who we play, ready to be ruthless in front of goal and defend our box as well”.

“We've done well in big games, against big opponents and it's another chance for us to go out there and show what collectively we've got and what we're about”.

The winner of the tie will qualify to the group stages of the Champions League while the loser drops the CAF Confederation Cup.
