Ex-Black Stars defender John Paintsil was locked up at the East Legon Police Station in Accra on Tuesday evening for beating up a police officer.

Paintsil had reported at the Police Station together with his wife over a domestic issue but the former Fulham star ended up in cells for punching the station commander.
