Former Las Palmas coach Manolo Marquez has questioned Barcelona's move for Kevin-Prince Boateng.
Now working in Thai football, Marquez coached Boateng at Las Palmas.
He said of Barcelona's new loanee: "I have no doubts about his physique, but he has a strong character and it will not be easy for him to be on the bench for a long time.
"He is not a natural forward. He can play in many positions. But for me he's better as a playmaker. He has played on the left wing with (Quique) Setien or pivot at Milan. And in Las Palmas, he finished playing at 9.
"He is a guy with a very strong character and it will not be easy for him to spend many days on the bench."
