Former Cape Verde coach to handle Dwarfs next season

51-year-old former coach of Cape Verde, Ricardo Da Rocha will take charge of Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs for the upcoming Premier League season.

The Brazilian trainer, who arrived in the country last Tuesday, paid a courtesy call on the president of Dwarfs, Nana Sam Brew-Butler, before concluding negotiations with the club’s management, led by Nana Aidoo, last Wednesday and has reportedly started overseeing light pre-season training with the Cape Coast-based club.

According to the reports, Da Rocha was recommended to the management of Dwarfs by a Ghanaian FIFA agent, Leslie Kuuku Bartels of Lesbart Sports and would be handling his second job  in Africa after coaching the Cape Verde national from 2006-2007.

He has aslo managed in Brazil, Portugal, Spain, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

As a player, he featured for Brazilian clubs such as Palmeiras, Vasco da Gama and Santos, among other teams, as well as Lazio, Cesena,Voterbesse Calcio and Pescara in Italy.
