The Ghana Football Association has introduced a new digital system to improve the Ghana Premier League.

At an even held on Monday, March 26, 2018, at the GFA secretariat, the FA confirmed that the new system will brush off the manual system of filling match reports, it will also be a platform to communicate with clubs before games.

Also, pre-match meetings which usually serve as the avenue for match coordinators to inspect the jerseys of clubs has been replaced with a CMS that will showcase the colours of jerseys to be used by the clubs ahead of a particular game.

The Communication Director of the Ghana Football Association Saanie Daara speaking at the event said the new system will enhance professionalism in the Ghana Premier League.

“We want to congratulate the media and everyone for the success we have made on the league so far. These successes can be pointed to the works the media has done in collaboration with us. One of key things we do now is a departure from what we did in the past”.

“The new system ensures that jerseys are presented to the clubs way before the match coordination meetings. This will help avert situations where clubs complain about others using wrong jersey colours. It will help us make the game a lot more professional and a lot more formal”, Saanie said.

Saanie added that the new digital system will update journalists, clubs and stakeholders on player availability for games due to the accumulation of cards and other punishments.
