The Ghana Football Association and the Premier League Board have officially launched the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League which will begin on March 3.

The launch was held at the secretariat of the Ghana Football Association on Monday, February 26 and the FA also unveiled the logo for this year's league.

The logo which has a glittering Star clad in the national colours which are red, yellow and green with a football, signifies the passion of the nation.

Officials of broadcast sponsor StarTimes and Man-of-the-Match/Player of the Month Award sponsors, NASCO all announced special packages for this year’s edition of the competition.

Acting GFA President Kweku Eyiah stated that it will be prudent to strengthen existing sponsorship relationships and ensure that the relationship is mutually beneficial.

“Sponsorship relationships should be mutually beneficial to both the sponsor and the sponsored, and the onus should be on all stakeholders to continue doing the right thing and make our sponsors happy, as well as attract new partners”, he said.

This year's GPL is anticipated to be one of the most competitive as all clubs have had adequate time to prepare.
