Vice President of the Ghana Football Association George Afriyie has been appointed onto the Organising Committee of the Confideraton of African Football(CAF) Africa Cup of Nations(AFCON) tournaments.
This was announced on Wednesday October 11th when he was invited to the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
He was sworn in by Chairman of the Committee at CAF, Amaju Pannick of Nigeria.
Afriyie would serve a 4 year term in office and would be expected to contribute with the planning and execution of the AFCON.
