WAFA have suffered their first defeat in the Ghana Premier League after they were beaten 2-0 by Elmina Sharks at the Baba Yara Stadium on Saturday, March 31, 2018.

The game which was played in the evening saw Elmina Sharks open the scoring in the 33rd minute when Benjamin Arthur headed in a Richard Mpong free-kick from the right.

The second goal was similar also from a free-kick- which saw Ofoe Ofotsu head down for Daniel Obeng Crentsil to slot home.

This is the first three points Sharks have also won after defeats at Dreams FC and Aduana Stars.

WAFA prior to the game had won two and drawn one of their three opening games.

But the second half delayed for some 46 minutes after the floodlights went off due to a power outage. WAFA are 2nd on the league table with 7 points and Sharks lie 7th with 4 points.
