Ghana's Lawrence Nmai set for Mixed Martial Arts World title

Ghana’s, Lawrence Nyanyo Nmai will take on German’s Daniel Dorrer in a vacant World Mixed Martial Arts title, K-1 Thai Boxing.

Nmai goes into the world title fight with a record of 28 fights with23 wins and five defeats whiles opponent Dorrer has nine fights with six wins and three defeats to his name.

Speaking ahead of the bout, Nmai said he is determined to win the bought in honour of his parents, Madam Elizabeth Naa Merley and Samuel Nmai as well as the nation at large.

Nicknamed the Punisher and hails from Labadi in Accra, he added that, Ghana is looking at the next world champion and urge all to support him in prayers.

“I have worked very hard to get to this stage and ask my colleagues and Ghanaians at larger to support him to get the title,” he stated.

Mixed Martial Arts is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and Ghana has recently inaugurated the Ghana Mixed Martial Arts Federation (GMMAF) in Accra.
