Coach of the senior national team the Black Stars, Avram Grant is still optimistic that Ghana will qualify for the 2018 World Cup despite losing 2-0 to Egypt yesterday.

The coach has failed to give up hopes on qualifying for the next World Cup despite recording only a point in two games and with five points separating them from the leaders, Egypt.

Speaking after the match on Sunday, the Israeli said his side would pick all points available in their next games and qualify for the global showpiece.

''I can tell you one thing, first we have African Cup before so we will do everything in African Cup. We showed today that we are a good team but we will fight till the end,” he stated.

He added that ''anything is possible in football. Now Egypt is leading Uganda with four points and we have one point. Twelve points to go, everything could happen in football and we will not give up until the last moment.''

Ghana will face Congo at home in the next game scheduled for next year.
