Ghanaian boxer Emmanuel Tagoe has been ordered by the International boxing organization, IBO to defend his IBO World Lightweight title against Russian Fedor Papazov.

The IBO formally wrote to Baby Jet Promotions ordering Tagoe to schedule a bout with Papazov not later than June 15, 2018.

Papazov beat Howik Bebraham via a split decision on the 10th of March to become the IBO Intercontinental Lightweight champion and number one contender for Tagoe’s title.

IBO has asked the camp of the two boxers to begin negotiations for the bout and are expected give a response within 30 days.

They further went on to say that if the two fail to come to an agreement, the IBO shall determine a date to receive purse bids.
