Ghanaian players abroad performance over the weekend have been superlative individually but was a different story with regards to their clubs.

Other Ghanaian players were dropped from the 18-man squad of their team. Also few of them have been benchwarmers.

We take a look at the performance of Ghanaian players abroad over the weekend with their respective clubs.

ENGLAND

Black Stars winger Christian Atsu was not included in Newcastle United squad that drew goalless with Cardiff City away from home, at the Millennium Stadium

Black Stars centre-back Daniel Amartey, after his appalling performance against Manchester United, was brought in in the 60th minute for Leicester City in their 2-0 victory at the King Power Stadium over Wolverhampton Wanderers.AmarteyWolverhampton Wanderers did not include Phil Ofosu-Ayeh in the squad against the Foxes.

Dennis Odoi did not travel with the team following suspension as his side, Fulham FC were thumped 3-1 by Spurs at Wembley.

Collin Quaner was left out of Huddersfield squad that got battered 6-1 against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

In the Championship, Caleb Ekuban who has been linked with a move away from Leeds United was once again missing in the matchday squad for the side as they defeated Rotherham United 2-0.

Albert Adomah lasted 78 minutes for Aston Villa in their 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town.

In League One, Tarique Fosu missed Charlton Athletic 1-1 stalemate against Accrington Stanley through injury.

Kwesi Appiah played 80 minutes for AFC Wimbledon as they held Barnsley to a goalless draw.

Bernard Mensah was left out of Bristol Rovers squad that won 2-1 at Wycombe.

In League Two, Hiram Boateng played 74 minutes for Exeter City in their 1-1 stalemate at home against Newport County.

Kobby Arthur lasted 90 minutes for Macclesfied in their 3-1 loss at Oldham United.

Elsewhere in the lower divisions, Nortei Nortey played full throttle for Dover Athletic in their 4-0 loss at Fylde.

Harold Odametey enjoyed the entire duration of the game for Maidenhead in their 2-1 loss at Hartlepool. Nana Owusu played 49 minutes for the losers.

Nana Ofori Twumasi was a stalwart for Maidstone in their 1-0 over Barrow.

Kwame Thomas missed Solihull 2-2 draw with Sutton through injury.

ITALY

Afriyie Acquah was in devastating form on his debut for Empoli in their 2-0 win over Cagliari.

Alfred Duncan was pivotal for Sassuolo as they shocked Inter Milan by a goal to nil. Kevin Prince Boateng played 87 minutes for the victors while Kwadwo Asamoah also had 90 minutes under his belt. Claud Adjapong however warmed the bench for the victors.

FRANCE

Enock Kwateng played the entire duration for Nantes in their 2-0 defeat at Dijon. Majeed Waris made a 58th minute introduction for the losers.

Grejohn Kyei who has been linked with a move to RC Lens was an unused substitute for Stade de Reims as they pip Lyon by 1-0 at home.

In the Ligue 2, Ebenezer Assifuah lasted 64 minutes for Le Havre in their goalless draw with Clermont.

Lawrence Ati-Zigi warmed the bench as usual for Sochaux as they beat Stade Brestois 2-0 at home.

Emmanuel Ntim was left out of Valenciennes squad that lost 3-1 at FC Lorient.

SPAIN

Raphael Dwamena registered an assist on his competitive debut for UD Levante in their 3-0 win at Real Betis in the La Liga opener. Emmanuel Boateng missed the game for the victors due to lack of fitness.

Richard Boateng played 90 minutes for Real Oviedo in their 1-1 against his former side UD Extremadura.

Yaw Yeboah scored for CD Numancia in their 3-3 stalemate with Cordoba.

Isaac Cofie excelled for Sporting Gijon in their 1-1 draw at Alcorcon.

GERMANY

Baba Rahman played 90 minutes for Schalke in their 2-0 win over Schweinfurt in the first round of the DFB Pokal.

Christopher Avevor scored for St Pauli in their 3-2 loss against SV Wehen in the first round of the DFB Pokal. Daniel Kofi-Kyere cameoed for the victors.

Kasim Nuhu was left out of TSG Hoffenheim squad that walloped Kaisaslautern 6-1 in the first round of the DFB Pokal.

In-form attacker Kingsley Schindler scored for Holstein Kiel in their 3-1 win over 1860 Munich in the DFB Pokal.

Gideon Jung missed SV Hamburg 5-3 win over Eerndtebruck in the first round of the DFB Pokal.

Anton-Leander Donkor warmed the bench for Hansa Rostock in their 2-0 win over VfL Stuttgart in the first round of the DFB Pokal.

Richmond Tachie scored for Wolfsburg II in their 4-1 win over Norderstedt.

AUSTRIA

Samuel Tetteh was in superb form for LASK Linz in their 2-1 win over Rapid Vienna. Reuben Acquah was left out of the matchday squad of the victors.

Kennedy Boateng played 90 minutes for SV Reid as they battered FC Liefering 3-0 at home. Gideon Mensah missed the game for the losers through injury.

ALBANIA

Vincent Atinga and Winful Cobbina played the entire duration for FK Tirana as they were pipped 1-0 by Kamza.

BELGIUM

Francis Amuzu played an instrumental role for Anderlecht in their 2-0 win over Mouscron. The youngster was replaced by Dennis Appiah in the 83rd minute. Dauda Mohammed and Emmanuel Adjei Sowah were not included in the victors matchday squad.

Nana Opoku Ampomah scored and provided assists for Waaaland-Beveren in their 2-2 stalemate against Sint Truiden. Elton Acolatse cameoed for Truiden while Samuel Asamoah was left out of their matchday squad.

Nana Akwesi Asare played 90 minutes for KAA Gent in their 3-2 win at KAS Eupen. Eric Ocansey cameoed for the losers but was no place for goalkeeper Abdul Manaf Nurudeen in their squad.

Daniel Opare picked a booking but played 90 minutes for Royal Antwerp in their 1-1 draw with Club Brugge. William Owusu Acheampong also lasted full throttle for Antwerp.

Joseph Aidoo was a stalwart for KRC Genk as they defeated Sporting Charleroi 3-0 at home. Joseph Paintsil made his competitive debut for the victors as a 62nd minute substitute.

On loan Leicester City youngster Kamal Sowah was left out of OH Leuven squad that drew 1-1 with Beerschot Wilrijk.

BULGARIA

Derrick Mensah watched his new Dunav Ruse teammates from the stands as they were defeated 2-0 by Slavia Sofia.

Ishmael Baidu picked a booking but lasted 90 minutes for Septemvri Sofia in their 2-0 loss at Levski Sofia.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Benjamin Tetteh played full throttle for Sparta Prague as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Pribram.

CROATIA

Obeng Regan once again missed Istra 1961 matchday squad as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Lokomotiva Zagreb.

Maxwell Boadu Acosty played 90 minutes for Rijeka in their 2-1 win at Rudes.

Ahmed Said picked a red card for Hadjuk Split in their shocking 2-0 home defeat against Gorica.

CHINA

Frank Acheampong was taken off in the 90th minute for Tianjin Teda in their 1-1 draw with Jiangsu Suning. Richmond Boakye Yiadom warmed the bench for Suning.

DENMARK

Abdul Mumin enjoyed full minutes of action for FC Nordsjaelland in their 2-0 win over Vejle. Godsway Donyoh provided an assist before making way at half time while Kudus Mohammed lasted 62 minutes. Clinton Antwi warmed the bench for the victors but Ibrahim Sadiq was not included in their squad.

Talented winger Emmanuel Oti Essigba was at his usual best as he played a huge role in Esbjerg 1-0 win over high-flying Brondby.

Michael Baidoo was left out of FC Midtjylland squad that played 1-1 with Odense.

FINLAND

Evans Mensah picked a booking before being hauled off in the 53rd minute for HJK Helsinki in their goalless draw with PS Kemi. Anthony Annan missed the match for HJK through suspension.

Samba Silla warmed the bench for Jaro FF in their goalless draw with HAKA.

HUNGARY

Abraham Frimpong missed Ferencvarosi 1-1 draw with Paks through injury.

LATVIA

Former Asante Kotoko defender Michael Ofosu Appiah warmed the bench for RFS in their 3-2 win at Valmiera.

MEXICO

Clifford Aboagye cameoed for Atlas FC in their 1-0 loss at home to Monacars.

In the Liga de Ascenso, Joseph Akrong scored an own goal in Zacatepec 4-2 win over Cafetalros de Tapachula.

NETHERLANDS

Jonathan Opoku cameoed for VVV Venlo in their 1-0 home loss against Ajax.

Leeroy Owusu picked a booking but lasted 90 minutes for De Graafschap in their 3-0 loss against NAC Breda.

Myron Boadu scored and registered an assist for AZ Alkmaar as they battered league newcomers FC Emmen 4-1.

Rodney Antwi played full throttle for Volendam in their 2-1 home loss against Den Bosch.

Isaac Twum was left out of IK Start squad that drew 1-1 at Stromsgodset. Ibrahim Arafat Mensah who joined Start late last week watched his new teammates from the stands.

Kwame Nsor grabbed a brace for Academica Viseu in their 3-1 win over Oliveirense.

RUSSIA

Rabiu Mohammed captained Anzhi Makhackala as they were mulled 3-0 at home against Orenburg.

Kadiri Mohammed cameoed for Arsenal Tula in their 3-0 loss at CSKA Moscow.

ROMANIA

Joseph Mensah lasted 54 minutes for Sepsi in their 2-0 loss at Stauea Bucuresti.

SCOTLAND

Thomas Agyapong warmed the bench for Hibernian in their 3-2 win over Ross County in the Scottish Cup.

SOUTH AFRICA

Richard Ofori was excellent for Maritzburg United in their goalless draw with Kaizer Chiefs.

Nana Bempah-Akosah cameoed for Cape Town City FC in their goalless draw with Golden Arrows.

SWEDEN

Thomas Boakye enjoyed full throttle for Halmstad as they lost 1-0 to Falkenbergs. Enock Kwakwa was an unused substitute for Falkengbergs.

Nasiru Mohammed played 90 minutes for BK Hacken in their 2-0 win at Sundsvall.

SLOVAKIA

Patrick Asmah played 90 minutes for FK Senica in their 1-1 draw at Michalovce. Striker Sadam Sulley was introduced in the 55th minute for Michalovce.

Reagy Ofosu missed Spartak Trnava goalless draw at Nitra through injury.

Benson Anang was in magnificent form for MSK Zilina in their 2-1 win over Sered.

Osman Bukari provided two assists for Trencin in their 3-3 stalemate with FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda.

Dutch-born defender Mitch Apau opened his scoring account for Slovan Bratislava in their 2-0 win over Ruzomborek.

Issah Abass picked a booking but lasted full period of action for NK Olimpija Ljubljana in their 3-0 home defeat to rival NK Maribor. Kingsley Boateng cameoed for the losers.

TURKEY

Bernard Mensah enjoyed the entire duration of the match for Kayserispor as they played goalless draw against Bursaspor. Asamoah Gyan warmed the bench for Kayserispor.

Elvis Manu played the entire duration for Akhisar Genclik Spor in their 1-1 stalemate with Rizespor.
