GPL Week 22: Kotoko lose again, Hearts extend lead with draw

Kumasi Asante Kotoko suffered another league defeat after last-placed New Edubiase pipped them 2-1 at the Bekwai Gyamfi Park.

Toufick Mohammed and Nasir Lamin scored for Edubiase  while Captain Amos Frimpong got Kotoko's goal leaving the Porcupine Warriors with only one win in the second round of the league.

League leaders, Accra Hearts of Oak also dropped points after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Ashanti Gold at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Robin Gnagne converted a penalty to give Hearts the lead but a beautiful goal from Shafiu Mumuni evened the scores.

The draw turned out not to be too bad a results as second-palced Wa All Stars lost 2-0 at Inter Allies.
