Hearts of Oak have confirmed that Salifu Ibrahim will be out for three weeks due to injury.

The playmaker was injured during their game against Karela United in Anyinase in the Ghana Premier League matchday 14 fixture over the weekend.

The Rainbows suffered a slim defeat to the home side after a goal from Umar Bashiru in the dying minutes of the game.

During the post-match reactions, Hearts of Oak head coach Samuel Boadu accused Karela United players of intentionally planning to rule Salifu out of the game.

“We didn’t struggle in the second half but Karela United players planned to injure Salifu Ibrahim just to get him out of the game” he said.

“I will plead with authorities to protect our players because it is very bad for players to hurt their opponents intentionally”

Hearts of Oak currently sit 8th on the table with 20points.
