Hearts of Oak striker Joseph Esso is unhappy over the reckless tackle by Kotoko defender Augustine Sefa which left him injured when the two clubs met in a friendly last weekend.
The 21-year-old forward had to be replaced in the first half after Sefa caught him from the back.
There were calls from the Hearts players for the referee to send of Sefa but he was only shown a yellow card.
According to the former Ebusua Dwarfs hitman, the Porcupine Warriors full-back deliberately inflicted the injury upon hence should have been given his marching orders.
“The tackle on was very bad he intentionally did that so was expecting him to be sent out I don’t know why the referee allowed him to go scot-free,†Esso told Oyerepa FM.
“I don’t know why he did that, I didn’t abuse him to merit such tackle. I can still feel pains at my left ankle.â€
Esso was asked if he is fit to feature for the Phobians in the return encounter on Sunday, he said; “Waiting on the medical team to know the extent whether I can play in the 2nd leg or not" he added.

Hearts of Oak will play Kotoko on Sunday, September 2, 2018, at the Baba Yara Stadium in the 2nd leg of the Super 2 clash after losing the first leg 2-0.
