Chelsea have signed a new five-year deal with 18-year-old Callum Hudson-Odoi until 2024.

His new deal commits him to the club until at least 2024. He is currently in the latter stages of his rehabilitation from an Achilles injury suffered in April that brought a premature end to his breakthrough season.

"It’s an amazing feeling," Hudson-Odoi said after signing his contract. "It’s been a long wait but it’s done now and I’m really happy about that. I’ve been a Chelsea player since I was eight and this is the right club for me to be at.

"I want to lift as many trophies as possible, win as many games as possible and contribute to as many goals as I can as well. As a team, we just want to work hard to achieve the best results we can. I’m delighted everything has been agreed and now I’m just looking forward to properly getting back."

The England winger, 18, handed in a transfer request in January after Chelsea rejected a £35m bid from Bayern Munich.

The youngster is understood to have been encouraged by positive words from new manager Frank Lampard, who said he wanted Hudson-Odoi to stay.

The deal is believed to be worth more than £100,000 a week.
