Legon Cities coach Maxwell Konadu says he relishes locking horns with fellow Ghana Premier League side Hearts of Oak.

According to him, the Ghana Premier League champions are one team he likes playing due to his history with them.

Konadu has faced Hearts of Oak on numerous occasions when he was the coach of WA All-Stars (now Legon Cities) and Kotoko and has a good record against the 1911 club.

His comment comes on the back of Legon Cities' stalemate with the Ghana Premier League champions on Sunday.

Despite the huff and puff, Samuel Boadu's side failed to breach the defence of the Royals as they were held to a 0-0 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium.

"They are a team I love so much playing them, I know the team very well because of my background. Any time I have a group of players I tell them one thing, don't go and try to be the hero of the day, just go and play normal football and make sure you concentrate for 90 minutes," Maxwell Konadu told the media after the game.

The coach also touched on the official Tempo match ball for the 2021/22 season. He opined that the new ball moves faster and they ought to get used to it as quickly as possible.

"This particular ball is faster than the previous one (Macron) so we just have to get used to it as quick as we can," he said.

GFA last week unveiled Tempo football as the match ball for the Ghana Premier League season for the next three seasons.

Tempo football is a product of Tempo Sports, a football manufacturing company based in Austria, Europe. Tempo football is a FIFA approved match ball provider which is used in about seven countries in Asia as well as other parts of Africa.
