Hearts of Oak opened their title defence with a goalless draw game Legon Cities on Sunday.

The Phobians won it all last season – picking their first League title in 12 years and first FA Cup crown in 21 years but were held to a 0-0 draw match at the Accra Sports Stadium by the visitors.

Elsewhere, Bechem United recorded a thumping 4-0 win over Medeama SC at the Nana Gyaebour Park.

The Hunters made life difficult for new Medeama coach Ignatius Osei Fosu who begun his adventure with the Mauve and Yellows on a disappointing note.

Newcomers, Bibiani Gold Stars started life in the Ghana Premier League on a good note when they got a slim win against Berekum Chelsea.

The debutants inflicted a 1-0 defeat against the Berekun based side.

At the Techiman Park, AshantiGold got the maximum points by beating Eleven Wonders 1-0 in an away fixture.

Karela United and Aduana Stars shared spoils at the Cosby Awuah Memorial Park.

King Faisal beat WAFA at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
