Ghanaian boxing legend, Azumah Nelson has revealed that he made more money from boxing even though that was not a motivating factor in his fantastic career.

The Hall of Famer, Azumah Nelson who likes being called ‘The Professor’ stated that he does not classify himself as an affluent or poor person but enjoys putting smiles on the faces of friends and loved ones.

“I made millions of dollars from boxing but my life is not about money so I don’t know whether I am a rich man or a poor man,” Azumah Nelson said to Ghanaweb.

“So far as I go to bed and I wake up and thank God, eat something and see my friends I am happy that I can put smiles on the face of someone. I don’t know if I am a rich man or poor man because it really doesn’t matter.”

Azumah Nelson has been granting assistance to many orphanages in the country either in cash or kind since his boxing days.
