Isaac Dogboe affectionately called 'Royal Storm' will next month face Christopher Diaz in an undercard bout in Las Vegas.

The former champion Isaac Dogboe and recent title challenger Christopher “Pitufo” Diaz will mount the ring on November 20 to see who is who.

Confirming next month’s slugfest on Twitter, the 27-year-old fighter described his upcoming bout as an opportunity to shine.

Dogboe (22-2, 15 KO) and Diaz (26-3, 16 KO) share a common opponent in Emanuel Navarrete. “Royal Storm” first ran into “Vaquero” in 2018, losing his WBO super bantamweight title to scrap what had been a Fighter of the Year-worthy run, then suffered a protracted beating in the rematch.

Diaz, meanwhile, fought his ass off last April in a bid for featherweight gold that saw him hit the deck four times before his corner pulled the plug.

Both men are still in their mid-20s, but this will be a massively important fight for their title aspirations.

This will be Dogboe's third fight since his comeback after victories against Chris Avalos and Adam Lopez.

The former champion in June saw off a late rally by Adam Lopez to claim a ten-round majority decision win Saturday evening in Las Vegas.

Judge Dave Moretti had the action even at 95-95, overruled by judges Chris Migliore (97-93) and Don Trella (96-94) who ruled in favor of Dogboe in a spirited featherweight battle.
