Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko SC have officially parted ways with defender Joseph Ablorh.
The 26-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors in June 2024 on a two-year contract, with expectations that he would bring experience, energy, and athleticism to the squad. However, his performances failed to meet expectations, leading to the decision to terminate his contract.
Kotoko confirmed the development in an official statement, announcing that the separation takes immediate effect.
The club stated that the decision was made in the best interest of both parties as they continue preparations for the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
“Asante Kotoko SC and defender Joseph Ablorh have parted ways with immediate effect. The club has taken this decision in the best interest of the club,” the statement said.
The club also extended its best wishes to the player as he looks to continue his career elsewhere, thanking him for his service during his brief time at the Kumasi-based side.
