Mubarak Wakaso was in action as Deportivo Alaves saw off Levante in matchday 1 of the 2019/2020 La Liga season to begin their campaign on a winning start.
The Ghanaian who put up a dominant display at the just ended AFCON 2019 was at his commanding best as he aided his side to victory.
He played the entirety of the game for Alaves as Joselu's 54th-minute strike was enough to separate the two sides at the Mendizorrotza Stadium.
The win is a morale booster for coach Asier Garitano's side as they aim to topple their eleventh place finish last season.
